This page explains what personal data People Hate Ads* collects when you use peoplehateads.xyz, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy is maintained by People Hate Ads*.

1. Data controller

The data controller is DIVE ADS SP. Z O.O., operating the People Hate Ads* brand. For any privacy question or request, email rodo@peoplehateads.xyz or use our contact page.

2. What we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, and the message you send us.
  • Newsletter: your email address, stored so we can send you the newsletter.
  • Merch waitlist: your email address so we can notify you when merch drops.
  • GOAT Ads submissions and votes: content you submit and an anonymous visitor identifier used to prevent duplicate votes.
  • Analytics: pages visited, referrer, UTM parameters, user-agent, and a random visitor/session identifier stored in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. Cookies and local storage

We store two random identifiers in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to measure aggregate usage of the site: a long-lived visitor ID and a 30-minute session ID. These identifiers are not linked to your name or email and are not shared with third parties for advertising.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

4. Legal basis and purposes

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — newsletter, merch waitlist, and GOAT Ads submissions.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — replying to your contact message and understanding aggregate site usage to improve the product.

5. Data retention

We keep contact messages, newsletter subscriptions, and waitlist entries only as long as we need them for the purpose they were collected, or until you ask us to delete them. Aggregated analytics data is retained for internal reporting.

6. Subprocessors

We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Cloudflare (hosting and CDN) to operate the site, and MailerLite to deliver the newsletter. Each provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and to data portability of your personal data. You can also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Poland: UODO).

To exercise any of these rights, email rodo@peoplehateads.xyz.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
